Introduction

About this site

This site is committed to an area of Computer Science that in my research I have come to refer to as Immersive Networking involves the interaction between technology areas, such as Cloud Computing, 5G, Artificial Intelligence and Internet-of-Things. Immersive Networking faces the challenge of Interfacing with Reality supported by Distributed AI embodied in a Decentralized Internet of Things. Immersive Networking is not a widely accepted concept and therefore it is important to describe what this area of research entails. 

Research Question(s)

The above overarching research question may be phrased as “To what extent can we immerse ourselves in a digital existence in touch with everything on the planet, without anybody owning that experience but ourselves?”. To that end, I put forward three main sub-questions that are involved in order to make further progress:

  1. How can Distributed Artificial Intelligence present itself such that we may Interact with it in a meaningful way?
  2. How should decentralized Artificial Intelligence operate such that it  supports our actions?
  3. How should (moving and distributed) Things be organized and interconnected efficiently?
